I have this wild vine growing off my patio at my lake house. I have been known to throw out
vegie scrapes to the deer when we leave. I found this growing. What is it? The white blooms open in the cool eve. then close up and wither away the next day then there is a bulbuios fruit left over shaped like an 8 or a gourd. Is that what it is? see the pics

thanks for any help :-)

It looks like a gourd. Squash have yellow flowers, gourds have white ones.

My birdhouse gourd looks very similar to this one, so a gourd of this type is a good guess.
