I also love the Forest Pansy but it is only half hardy here so none for me!

They are beautiful and would probably do well in your area. You can only grow them here if you have a nice sheltered microclimate and you don't get continuous years of bad winters!!!
Great article, lots of info here. Maryland has its share of eastern (yes pink!) Redbuds, in the central and western part of the state which is getting into the Appalachians Mtns. I haven't had Redbud be invasive here or at my Mom's yard. Just the occasional, enough to share
