I don't have a pic but maybe you all can help... I was out riding thru a back pasture this spring and I saw a completely electric blue bird with a black beak. there was no other color on the bird at all. It was about Dove sized (not shaped). I saw another a short time later on the same day but don't think it was the same bird I had seen earlier.
I know this is a stretch but if anyone can point me in a direction to start off looking in. All searches I have done come up with the more common blue birds.

Double-check: is "LA" Louisiana, or Los Angeles?

The closest bird I have found in looks is the Indigo Bunting but the wings were solid blue no black at all and the beak was black as well.
Not a blue jay but we do have them here.
