I decided I want to decorate my little scant garden with something colorful. Sooooo, I decided to look around the neighborhood for some river rock. While I saw lots in people's front yards, naturally, I wouldn't take those! They paid for them...but now and then I would get lucky and find them in the gutter, laying ON the sidewalk, etc.
I paint flowers on them using paint made to use outdoor. They won't fade at all. The paint is weatherproof (I use Folkart Outdoor paint by Plaid) I even took a coupe of bricks broken in half and painted on those. My picture only shoes some of my rocks. I just set them here and there...at least the squirrels can't dig where the rocks are sitting ;)
Hey, it brightens the garden and you have flowers during the winter!.
