I have pink superpertunias on my deck. They were doing great until this week. I have noticed that some of the buds are turning yellow-brown before they open. I also noticed at lot of tiny black pinheads sized things on the buds and leaves. It almost looks like dirt. Is this an insect? Need help.
Thanks
It would help if you could post a picture but it sounds like aphids. Usually the ones that feed on Petunias are black instead of the more familiar green. If they are aphids just about anything will kill them including soapy water.
