Men like plants that mimic the phalic like energy, tall, erect, high in strong fibers, sometimes with a few nuts to accent them. What could be more interesting to a man than a great big tall erect plant?? Women love the other energy, soft, yielding, flowers or delicate folage. Is this hard to understand?? seems simple to me.

Yes, and I also see it as a metaphor for the way we parent - women nurture and let go easier, men are there for the act (sex / planting the BIG TREE), but then kind of expect everything to take care of itself, except in emergencies (when he will pay for treatment or therapy)!
