I have also spray painted the fence with black paint and it becomes a little more invisible.

That's a great idea!.. I assume you use some kind of exterior spray paint? If you notice in the pics from the article, my lovely predecessors put up a chain link fence in addition to a wood privacy fence (presumably because of the vicious neighbor dog) so spray painting it without ruining the wood fence is out of question...but I love that idea!!

I also had a neighbor's board fence behind my chain link - made the ugly chain link stand out even more. I was able to paint the chain link by using an empty bird seed sack holding it between the two fences and spraying away. Maybe this would work for you.

That's a great idea--thank you for the suggestion. I could probably get my hands on some butcher paper from work, too, which might work. Thanks!
