This is one of my favorite terrariums. It has some of my favorite things, my Begonia Rajah, a Fairy and it's a terrarium I keep on my African Violet stand.
I hope the pic is ok, terrariums are so hard for me to capture with the camera.

Enjoy!

LOL, I am not a good picture taker either! I have to take 50 or more pic's and lucky if one of them comes out half way decent! I swear it's the camera and not my eyes. And, not my shaky hands holding it either! ^_^

Oh, yes .. please post some more pic's! We need to get this terrarium forum back up and busy again! I haven't made a new terrarium in a long time, might just have to put one together tomorrow!

Hee Hee ... Plantaholics Anonymous! Love it. I know none of us could stay away from plants for long though ... We would be back in rehab within 24 hours! But, plants and gardening is a good thing to be addicted to.

cedarnest you should try it. It's so much fun and I think the plants love them. It takes a lot less work too! Of course I like the creative & decorative parts.
If we can help let us know...

I am so glad you renewed this forum. I started 3 single plant terrarium ( one begonia vietnam, and two venus trap). How you do prevent dirt from falling onto the plant when you put in the soil inside the container? My venus trap snapped its traps when the soil fell on it. I prefer to see the traps open.

Here is one of them. The flowers sure last underwater. Two weeks for this one!

I had an underwater entry in my first show this spring. I don't think I got anything for that, the leaves touched the sides, ha. I am new to shows for sure. I won for my terrarium, that was a surprise. I was just learning.

I can't wait for next year. I will have lots of violets to choose from and blooms too. This year I was VERY limited, not many plants and THEY did not have many blooms! I just wanted to participate and learn.

Those are both beautiful! Love the colors.

I don't have a club close enough to join, but if I did I'd sure join one.Not so much to show, I admire that aspect of it and go to most of the shows in the area but I just like to grow AV's & gessies.
I have grown some really large AV's that probable were good enough to enter but definely not blue ribbon winners. I keep a plant of Tiger just to grow one huge plant, the rest I try to keep less than 10 inches. I started collection the Semi's cause I can fit more on the shelves, they also fit in my terrariums and do very well there. Kinda double function.

Plano, another Texan!

I love water and glass.. Underwater arrangements can be VERY complicated or SUPER EASY! All are lovely.

I am in the African Violet club and we have several areas we can enter arrangments. You can even make a mobile with violets. This is for the annual show.

One area is underwater, all with violets and a little of other plants, rocks, etc.

Using a frog is good, but I also use the sticky flower stuff that sticks a tiny stem in the frog and keeps it there. Tiny rocks hid the frog. There are rules in the show. No plants can touch the sides.

I love to sink whatever kind of flower into the frog and cover with water. Distilled water keeps the color well.

Here is a pretty way to have a flower under water also. Flower aquariums.
