I don't recognize it, but as your garden looks very tidy (so unlike mine)..would suggest you take it out and pot it up-leaving it in the shade to recuperate during out heat spell.
Just looks like it is going to be a larger plant than the ones already there.
Edited..the leaves almost look like elm leaves..

When I looked lactuca up it was lettuce varieties. Is that correct? I have lettuce in my garden, and this doesn't resemble any I've ever seen. Are there other varieties of lactuca? Thanks.

I was thinking possibly one of the wild lettuce species. But that's not certain. I suspect you'll need to wait for this to flower to be identifiable.

I have those sprouting up in various places in my yard. I'd say weed. When small seedlings, they look like blanket flowers, so I did let mine go for a bit, to about 12" tall. But definately weed.
