yes. I think this is very interesting.

I would wonder why this guy is still considered an eccentric rather than a main stream thinker.

The principles he is talking about are essentially can happen naturally.

At one point the Gulf of Mexico extended this far up into west central Alabama. When it receded (at the end of the Pleistocene) it left a remarkable formation which is now the Alabama blackbelt. It is one of the most productive types of farmland in the world since it is naturally limed. Of course now aqua-farming is more prevalent there now than vegetable farming.

I remember several years ago there was a project in Russia to reverse the flow of the Ob River. Not sure what the purpose was. Maybe Darius knows about this project from her Russian readings.

Now this IS very interesting. My kind of guy. I like people who are DOING something positive in the face of what may seem impossible.

Although the book series I am reading begins on the River OB, there is no discussion of the river itself. Sorry.

Very interesting. Sounds like he has all bases covered. I sure hope he's healthy and has lots more productive years to see this through. Imagine if our tax $ could fund something like this instead of bridges to nowhere.

What Ive found so far is that the Ob River is critical to the stabilization of arctic climate and it is not in too good a shape
