This is my first post in the C&S forum. I love looking at all your photos, and now I'll share what I have.
The 'burbs of Seattle are zone 8'ish. Our summers are usually mild and dry. This year it's down right cool.
A year ago I created a new "dry bed" which I acually do water occasionally by hand. In this area I've planted out agaves, sedums, sempervivums, aeoniums and echeveria. The semps and sedum stay in the ground year round. In October'ish I dig out the aeonium & echeveria and store these in our unheated gareage over winter.
I have a largish Agave Americana that I'd like to experiment with leaving in the ground this winter. Last year I stored the Agave attenuata int he garage, but it declined so much that I think this year I'll bring it into the house.
