Clerodendrum thomsonae, the Bleeding-Heart plant. A native of western tropical Africa; it is easy to cultivate. Give it a sunny location and keep it regularly pruned and fertilized.

Hey Jayjey, as Malta has a fairly mild climate, you should be able to take cuttings and produce new plants during all but the coldest time of year. When the plant is actively growing would be the most effective time.
You may find it easiest to place a lengthy stem of the plant on a pot of soil, while it is still attached to the mother plant, place a rock on top to hold it down, and make a ground layer. When the stem is well rooted, cut it free from the mother plant, and you have a new plant.

Aloha, Dave
