I believe that this is a camouflaged looper, Synchlora aerata (Lepidoptera: Geometridae), see [HYPERLINK@ourfcs.friendscentral.org] and [HYPERLINK@www.duke.edu] for representative images. These larvae attach bits of whatever plant part they are feeding upon to their body, using specialized setae. The adults are small green moths known as wavy-lined emeralds - see [HYPERLINK@www.acleris.com] for an image.
