I live in Cleveland, Ohio and I've never seen this particular insect before, their were maybe six or so in my kitchen window. They are rather aggressive and the largest one is about 5/8" long not counting it's legs. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
I'm puzzled by the aggressive bit, as this is a long-horned wood-boring beetle (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), and they are not in the habit of going after humans. This one appears to be a red-headed ash borer, Neoclytus acuminatus - see [HYPERLINK@entoplp.okstate.edu] and [HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com]
