I left all 3 dogs out this morning to do their business. Immediately they began running for the woods. I shouted at them to come back, but they didn't listen. I assumed that they were chasing a deer that was in the field. They came back about 5 minutes later, and as soon as I opened the door, I knew what they were chasing. SKUNK. I smelled each one of them to see who got it. This time it was Bandit. It was time for both my husband and I to go to work, so hubby quickly gave him a bath with peroxide, baking soda and dish soap. He got most of the smell out, but the house still lingered with the aroma of skunk. When I got home from work, I vacuumed all the carpets with some carpet cleaner, and gave Bandit another bath. There is nothing worse than when your dog gets into a skunk, except maybe when they get into a porcupine. LOL.
