I bought a small aloe plant recently, at a charity auction. I suspect it had been divided from a larger plant. I was worried about it at first, because several outer leaves were yellowish, and in the first week the tips of several leaves went brown. But before I found my round tuit and posted for advice, it perked up. Most of the leaves are good healthy color now, and it's putting up new leaves from the center.
In the meantime, I'd bought some cactus-variety potting soil, intending to transplant Vera from her plastic starter-pot to a more permanent one. Now I'm worried about shocking her again just as she's settled in. The pot she's in is good-sized, it's just... plastic. To re-pot or not to re-pot?
I've got quite a collection of small plants in plastic nursery-pots: a jade tree, a spider plant (pair, actually) and the aloe. Can the jade and the aloe be put together in a combination planter?
