I got this daylily in a trade a couple years ago as 'When my sweetheart returns' but it's not. Actually, I think I like this one better but I'd love to know what it is.
It's blooming for me now which is probably mid season here. It has very tall scapes. I'm 5 ft. and it's almost as tall as I am. The flower is about 6 or 7 inches. The color is red with an orange throat. The back of the bloom is a yellow orange. I couldn't reach it to see if it had a fragrance.
I'll post 3 pics of it, one showing the height, one showing the bloom and one showing the back of the bloom.
Hope someone will recognize it.
