A friend dropped off a box of tomato and pepper plants on my doorstep, later than I usually plant tomatoes out, and many were cherry and grape types. Your article mentioned almost all of the ones she gave me (Sprite, SunGold, Black Cherry, Sweet Million.) I think the only other ones were red and yellow pears. They are already covered in tiny green tomatoes. I can't wait! Glad to hear that the varieties she gave me are good ones!
Also wanted to say that based on your pepper article, I tried a bunch of non-bell sweet peppers, and we are really enjoying them. Much more productive than the bells ever have been for me, and none of that weepy, black bottom problem I always had, just as they were getting close to finished size. The Cubanelles are so good! And my basil (all 5 varieties) is thriving, too. I just may have to start calling it my "Critter Garden!" LOL
Keep up the good work! Every time I see an article by you, I know it will be a "keeper!"
