Ok, after getting this article ready, I saw a photo of someone with an olla in their garden.
It was simply a clay pot with a stopper or sealed hole and the saucer laying over the top.
You can avoid the whole toxic glues issue this way!! I might try using grout or some mortar to seal the hole.
This would be a much nicer idea for someone who wants to reduce chemicals yet doesn't have access to a proper Olla.
