| I was gifted some of these and they of course have no adhesive since they are transparent images or quotes to embellish your pages. How do I attach these? Can't use the white sticky tabs obviously. |

| I attach them to another piece of cardstock with eyelets or brads, then attach them to the page. I think you can buy glue or maybe something called ribbon glue that will not show through. I have never seen any though.

| Oh cute. Brads yes I'd heard of those. Do you need a hammer to put those in?
I ended up, just for now, using some acid free photo gluestick which dries clear. It leaves slight ripples so I didn't use much but for now it's all I had. I wish they'd just make these cute sayings on stickers! |

| No, you don't need a hammer for brads. All you need to do it put a hole in the vellum and paper somehow, then stick the brad through, and spread the back. You would need a hammer for the eyelets. I bought an eyelet set kit, which gives you a hammer, a hole maker, tweezers, some other stuff, and the rod you need to set the eyelet on the back. I bought it at Michaels when there was a sale. Couldn't do without it, as I use brads and eyelets a lot! |

| Hmmmm so what makes the brads stick if it's just a tiny metal ring?
I've never used brads or eyelets... |

| Brads are a solid shape on the front, with two prongs at the back. You poke the two prongs through the paper, then spread them. I think they are also called paper fasteners. You would have to use a piece of cardstock behind the vellum, so the prongs wouldn't show.
Brads come in all shapes and sizes. You can get ones that look like dog bones, most animals, etc etc etc. round, square, triangle. I use them a lot.
Hopefully this picture gives you an idea. I toook this picture from E-Bay so hope it is okay with the owner of the auction to show you what the brads look like. I guess I'll find out!!!

| Brads and eyelets work great on it. Spray adhesives are also good for vellums. There are adhesive runners and tapes for vellums as well. |

| Just finished a page and used brads to fasten a chipboard oval cutout. I had forgotten how much I like them! I find the mixed packs of metallic 'colors' very handy like bright brass, antique brass, silver, black.
I recently bought some colorful brads in cute shapes like balloons, trees, leaves. I had wanted them for a long time but didn't need a whole pack. We stopped at a tiny scrapbook shop in the mountains near Helen, GA where I was able to buy them by the piece. Woo hoo!
I haven't tried the spray adhesive: was afraid it would make a mess with overspray. ??? Does it? |

| Our local scrapbook store has candy jars full of mixed brads, buttons and eyelets. It's great to get just what you need.
I also like using my Prang metallic markers to color my brads. The result is terrific and it dries fairly quickly.
I'd think with the overspray, you'd want to have a plastic bag or newspaper beneath the object you're spraying. You can also do like we do with spraying herbicide and use a piece of cardboard, held in the opposite hand, to limit where the spray goes. |

| Gardenwife: I am not familiar with Prang metallic markers; will have to look into it. I wonder if that would work on some 'zipper pulls" I bought (with a word on them) that are a dull silver color but would work better on my layout in a gold tone. |

| Yes, they work well on metals. That's what I used to re-color some silver embellishments into gold. This scan isn't very good, but you get the idea. I used the markers on the swirls, the writing, and the pawprint hatpin. I used Stickles to sparkle things up a bit.

Now, I've got to remember to do my winter sowing of seeds! |
