I have a wind chime that I purchased over a year ago. It's so heavy, I can hardly lift it. Needless to say, it has a very deep sound. I'd like to hang it on one of the limbs of my oak or possibly make something to hang it on. As I live in So. Florida, I'd like to be able to easily take it down during heavy storms or hurricanes. Does anyone know if there are ready made mechanisms for hanging it in a tree or a free standing holder for it? Thanks.

Most of the places that sell chimes online also sell hooks or hangers to hang them from, as well as a few which sell free-standing holders. I'd start with the merchants that deal in big heavy wind chimes . . . you could try the ones I listed although I was really listing them for sound and not for accessories. But the right kind of hook in your oak tree might enable you to take your chime down when necessary. Good luck! What a shame to have a great big beautiful chime and not to be able to hang it!
