Hello,
I have been using a product called "Bencoolen Virgin Coconut Oil Cracked Heel Repair Cream for three weeks now and there is an excellent improvement. I have had this problem for years and used every cream available. I am very grateful for finding this and will continue to use it. Fissures are almost gone now.
Many thanks for the excellent product, which you can purchase online at http://www.crackedheels.net/.

I've always had this problem too. Although it's much better than it used to be. I often use Dr. Shoal's pumice file and then I have some special cream that I bought from the podiatrist that I put on my heels at bedtime. It works real well and the problem is not near as ugly as it used to be.
I wear sandals a lot in the summer and of course I have more trouble during this time of year.

I use a pumice stone everyday in the shower. Then I slather on the Vaseline!! It's worked for me for years.

I happened to catch the Oprah program the other day when I was home with the flu. They were doing one of those 'favorite things' types of program. Dr. Oz and some other medical doctors were discussing various remedies and the subject of cracked heels came up. A method that they swore by for resolving cracked heels involved rubbing the heels each night with a Stridex Pad (US acne product which uses Salicylic Acid as active ingredient) and then slathering a heavy moisturizing product such as Vaseline or Eucerin on the heels, putting on a pair of socks.

Salicylic Acid helps to slough off the dead skin prior to moisturizing...

They swore that within a week or so, cracked heels will be a thing of the past.

lol, I don't have cracked heels, but I will if I ever do! :)

I was just skimming the thread titles and thought I would pop in to mention what I'd just heard a couple days ago.

Use the new Ped Egg to shave off the dry, dead skin and then slather on Avon's Footworks, Cracked Heel cream. Works beautifully. My feet are as smooth as a baby's bottom now!! I use the cream every day before I put on socks or pantyhose and the Ped Egg about once a week on dry skin ...don't use after showering when skin is soft and damp ...needs to be DRY.

Used the Ped Egg and rubbed in Gold Bond Foot Cream. It works better than the other lotions I've tried.
