    Nice article. My SW garden blooms all summer. I have many of those you showed and many roses too. My climate is much drier than San Antonio.

    Beautiful gardens, cactuspatch! I had no idea that limited water did not mean limited flowers. Thanks for your link and for reading my article. I did see roses in San Antonion but didn't come back with a good picture...

    Thanks, we have a well and water our gardens. Most are on drippers which clog because our water is very hard. But I am a native and learned to love watering as a kid. ; ) Roses love the desert and don't get blackspot easily here like they might possibly in SA.
