You've done it again. Another perfect description of summer in the deep south - I'm a retired teacher also and my cats lounge in the garden and roll in the herbs and check out all the plants with me every day. Down here one can smell the change in the air - it happened here day before yesterday - just a subtle scent that means "School opens soon, love every minute of these last days of freedom - swim and play and enjoy life - always!" Even though I've been retired lo, these many years I get those same thoughts and feelings.

Same with me about school and that certain feel about the air when it is time to go back!
