Angels Flight opening her first bloom.
She is a Quad and her Orange colouring is intense already.
Do you like her?
I love her!!!! A wonderful change of color from all those pink ones. How often is she a quad? She is listed as a double in the registry. I wonder if she has made it to the states? What is the fragrance like?
Looks just like a Dreamsicle.......a really nice Brug.
This is the first bloom on a new plant (cutting) so I on't know how often it throws a 'Quad'
The scent is nit very strong at the moment and difficult to name.
I will update when it give's a better nose :-)
That's a beautiful sight! Congrats & pls keep posting about her.
Beautiful! Bet she has your garden smelling like Heaven :)
An enchanting bloom! Wish I had one like her! Heck, I wish I had a bloom, period!!
Brings to mind a 50/50 bar. Remember those?...Vanilla ice cream in the middle, orange popsicle on the outside. Beautiful photo Hurstwood!
Duhhhhhh! Silly me, I never knew Creamsicles and 50/50 bars were one in the same! Good to know. Learn something new every day!
We don't have those in the UK
Thank You all for the nice comments
That is gorgeous! If it looks like creamsickle , I gotta find one!
Oh my G, I am flipping over here, so gorgeous, I only wish we could get those in the states!
It is soooo beautiful.....something to dream of.
Please show more as they develop...
I'm finally getting a bloom! Should be fully open in a few days!
Everyone will want a cutting of that brug! Including me!
I'll send you a whole box of frozen creamscicles for ya to eat in exchange for that brug. ; )
Beautiful. Am speechless actually. Not only love the coloring, but love the form. She wil be truly spectacular when grown up and loaded with blooms.
Thanks for all your nice comments
Bad news ! this Brug. rotted off a couple of weeks ago, no cuttings taken.
I'll get me a new one in spring :-)
Gorgeous ! I sure wish we could get this one in the U.S..
That makes me a bit nervous. I have a nice big Angels Flight. What do you think caused the rot?
Let's see what winter brings Paul. Lotsa good stuff growing, but not ready to cut on yet.
Totally my fault, it was growing in a pot, after it flowered I moved it into an 'out of the way place' we then had weeks of torential rain. When I went to check the plant the pot was full of water (I had stood the plant in a hollow to stop it blowing over and the water had not drained away) we live and learn !
DOE41- I will get another cutting from Germany or Holland (I hope)
PS its already in the States :-)
Wasn't it a parent to "The Chief" or am I remembering wrong.so sorry you lost that beautiful thing.
