I have always used extra long needlenosed pliers and also make sure they are the better ones with a metal band or spring to ease hand fatigue..makes a big,big,difference. You would also be surprised at how fast and efficient they can be. Nothing like hearing that rrrrrrrrip, when you get a good hold of a clump.
