Enjoyed your article!I love collecting cacti,bromeliads and other arid zones plants.I live in a South American country called Uruguay. Do you think I can plant bromeliads in direct sun?January (middle summer) can be really hot here.

Depends on the kind of Bromeliad... Puyas, Dyckias and Hechtias all NEED direct sun.. .but most others prefer shade
