I am a rookie at this so you cannot hurt my feelings by offering any suggestions; I got interested in King Sago Palms after a friend gave me 5 or 6 pups that he dug out of his yard; I had to find out how to plant the pups ... and lo and behold I found a great website that discussed how to grow the pups and sagos from seeds ... my natural curiosity took over and I started looking at every mature King Sago that I saw around town; I asked the owners if they would allow me to get some of the seeds for growing new plants from seeds ... nobody knew you could grow them from seeds ... but they said OK take all you want ... the result is I now have approx 150 seeds that are making seedlings ... my challenge is when do I transfer to individual pots?
Looks like all of my friends will get sago palm plants for Christmas 2009; and next Dec/Jan I should have about 150 or 200 sago seeds to share on Daves Garden ...
I would love to get comments on your experience with growing sago palm from seeds.
