How wonderful is it to walk out to the garden, snap a tender cuke off the vine, rub off the spines and eat under the warm sun. Yum.
Your article made me hungry for fresh cukes. I didn't grow any this year and I don't think my mom did, either.
Thanks so much for the nice article and the interesting recipe.
Glad you put the pic of the mandolin in; for some reason I thought you meant the musical instrument. LOL.

musical instrument = mandolin
sharp slicing thingy = mandoline

(I had to google to be sure of getting the spelling difference right!)

I didn't grow cukes either this year, and I miss them! Next year... for certain. Fortunately, the farmer's market has been keeping me in cukes. :-)

Add music to your salads; slice your cukes with a mandolin.
