My son has been nominated to go on an educational trip overseas next summer. The trip is expensive and the program expects that he would earn the majority of the money himself. The problem is I have only come up with a few ways that 11 year olds can earn money, so I am wondering what you guys may be able to come up with.
Cutting lawns is really kind of out in our area because everyone has lawn services and they are really pretty cheap, so undercutting the price would be tough.
I'm not ready for him to babysit other kids, so that is out.
The ideas I have come up with are:
1. A garage sale - we are going to contact people we know ask for their unwanted items to sell at the garage sale. Hopefully, that will increase the amount of stuff we have to sell.
2. We are going to send out letters asking for sponsorships from people we know and local businesses.
3. We are going to sell wrapping paper, etc.
So any other ideas?
Thanks.
