Hi everyone
Can I substitute fresh lime juice for fresh lemon juice in jams, jellies, applesauce and pie fillings? Lemons are super expensive here and cost more than 3 times the price of a lime right now - fresh limes are on sale for 20 cents a piece. If they would work I would prefer to use the lime juice. I have been making as many jars of jams, jellies as I can as a fundraiser for the strays at our local vets. I plan to can a lot of apple pie jam, apple butter, apple sauce and pie fillings with a massive amount of apples that were donated to me for the cause. It would be very helpful and much less expensive if I could substitute the lime juice. Can anyone advise? thanks so much
