Great, fun article! Almost made me wish I had one...
You are doing a great job with your articles, Sally! Reading from other that write them, I think everyone gets "hooked" on these after a while. Even Sharon said that...

Gita- thanks so much !! now I want everyone to know that even tho your yard is not big enough to 'really' need a mailbox--it is a beautiful garden! I don't think you're disorganized enough to merit a mailbox!

What a great idea! I don't consider myself lazy, but at 66 years my old knees are tired of trotting around, so a mailbox with those bypass cutters, a few plant ties, gloves(in the plastic bag someone suggested)stashed in a mailbox would save me lots of steps. My yarden covers just over an acre. Thanks

Quite welcome- thanks for reading! I would think an acre deserves a mailbox. One article I checked even suggested a water bottle for emergency(i guess) rehydration. Maybe not such a wacky idea in hot place like TX.

with the water bottle in the texas mailbox you can add a tea bag--LOL--seems hot enough!

your article reminds me of my kids finding a mailbox in someones trash and setting it up in their hide out--not sure what they stored in it but it was kinda cute
love the idea since i might eliminate all the stuff i leave laying everywhere

Tea bags! I love it! I was peeking at a thread about the extreme heat you all are having in TX and AZ- WHEW!
