Also perfect timing! I have a patch of daffodils that I need to thin out a bit and just bought a bunch of crocus. I was wondering exactly where I was going to plant those crocus... now I know! I really like this idea very much. Thanks so much. Well written and gorgeous pics.

Thanks! I love crocuses... and in Wisconsin, where my folks grew up, I know you can find them blooming underneath the drifts as the snow melts... they're such sturdy little harbingers of spring! :-)
