They carry Cafe du Monde in 1, 2 or 6-cans.

Community Coffee (www.communitycoffee.com) also sells coffee blended with chicory, or just pure ground chicory you can add to your coffee yourself.

Very interesting article, btw! I love everything N'awlins-related. : )

Thanks, Tam...sometimes I do find Community Coffee on shelves her, not often but sometimes, and I often blend it. It is an excellent coffee, but not always available.
Thank you.

Some cajun restaurants have CDM, Cafe du Monde's coffee with chicory. My sister buys it somewhere in Cincinnati. It was the first coffee I ever had--my Grandma got me hooked on it. Yummy! And chicory grows wild everywhere around here. I tried to dig up a root once, but no luck; I think they go all the way to China, lol.

Well, western KY has no cajun restaurants, sadly enough, but I think I have a good source now, so with a little luck I will enjoy it soon.
Those roots do grow on forever, tough as anything to dig up. Believe me, I have tried.
Thanks for writing, KY.
Always nice to hear from you.

I love chicory coffee ever since I first tasted it many years ago at Cafe' du Monde in New Orleans. I have found that brand available here but have not bought any recently. Now, I will!
