I planted a few ornamental Amaranthus variety seeds this spring.
The seedlings grew fast and were beautiful!!
I planted a few in-ground and a few in pots...the two I planted in-ground are showing only purple coloring (leaves)...the ones in pots where showing vivid reds and pinks...then slowly but surely...they all declined.
I think it all began with earwigs enjoying the foliage...they've deteriorated to downright UGLY! Stunted and mis-shapen foliage...browining, drying...you name it! lol!
No sign of blooms, either.
One of those planted in ground has a nice stout stem, but hasn't gained much height.
Anyone else having such problems this year? Any ideas of what I may have done wrong?
