I used to live in western Wyoming and learned a bit about cowboy coffee. One way I heard used to settle the coffee grounds in the pot was to swing the handled pot in wide circles several times (like a ferris wheel) so the centrifugal force worked in your favor. I would guess this technique only works out on the open prairie and not in a tiny kitchen, lol!

I spill enough things in my kitchen, thank you very much! And centrifugal force has led to blueberries painting my ceiling.

Plus, I'd probably end up with coffee grounds in my eyes! Are you trying to kill me?!
