Anyone ever heard of Philodendron 'Showboat'? I hadn't until recently. I bought a philo several years ago from a "private" plant sale (meaning, not a garden center or nursery) labeled Philoendron 'Jupiter', which, I posted in this thread... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/788693/
Well, when I was going around frantically bringing potted plants inside in preparation for Hurricane Ike - and getting to a point where I was running out of time, the last few which were in the ground litterally got yanked up. This was one of them. I wasn't surprised to see a plant marker tumble out that had been stuck way down into the original rootball (thinking it was probably an old lable of mine that somehow managed to get mixed in there). I was surprised, though, to see it wasn't one of my tags and could only have been in there from before I had purchased it. It had the name Philodendron 'Showboat'. I can only find one single reference to this plant and that is a website from an google search which is a personal website and shows what looks like this philo as Philodendron 'Showboat'.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Which is it??
thanks...
