Have you heard of the Gymea Lily - native to NSW, Australia ? Flower stalk up to 15 feet with a flower disk about the size of a large pizza - multiple glowers on disk.

Thanks for the information - I'd never heard of the Gymea Lily and although the Titanum inflorescence is much larger, the Gymea is a fascinating plant deserving of notice and attention.
