I was in Boston this past week and saw the most bizarre groundcover- each plant was on a grass-like stem (about 12") and the leaves on the end if it were very much like palm leaves in shape and texture. I imagine it's some type of grass- I wouldn't think evergreen. They covered to large 8X4 foot planters in front of a professional building. From a distance I thought it was Liriope, but up close the leaves were much bigger.
