A friend in another state has just exhausted her secret cash reserves to bail out her DH. She is very frugal - he has no head for money matters. She's 65; he's 58 and recovering well from heart surgery - he has also just closed his most recent business venture that was drowning in red ink. He will be able to return to a part-time job but the income there is not enough to sustain them. She's looking for something she can do where she can schedule her own hours.
Years ago she sold Avon quite successfully but upon investigating that option now sees that the upfront money is prohibitive and pay rates are pitiful. Ditto for Mary Kay.
I've suggested tutoring, but think she is going to need a combination of several ventures.
What about selling on e-bay? I've no experience either as buyer or seller and have no idea if it is a reasonable idea.
Any ideas you can offer will be greatly appreciated - thanks! Yuska
