I have been wanting a cardboard cycad since I first saw one 5 years ago. Well my wish came through today, in Sam's Club of all places. They had sagos, ponytail palms and carboard cycads in little 6 inch pots insertedinto these square ceramic pots. $15. I searched through all of them and found the biggest, healthiest one there. It's about 18" tall with 5 fronds on it. I am going to plant it near one of my sagos. Now my only question is...do they require the same care as sagos? I have about 10 sagos of various sizes in various spots inmy yard and all are doing excellent, I have pictued below the best looking one we have. She ( yes it's a queen) was planted in the yard by my husband 6 years ago and she was a tiny thing then. We must have the perfect spot there because every year there are lots of new fronds.
