Hello,
I have had a problem with my aloe the leaves for about a month now and it looks like i haven't watered it for a long time and I don't want to over water it.. I have watered it do you think I am not giving it enough water. the leaves fill out and then a week later they start to go flat again i don't know what to do. So please help . I'm sorry I wish I had a picture.
okay well you know how aloe leaves are they are full of liquid of sorts well its almost as if they are drying out but since it is getting cold out I have to bring it away from the window so it is under a grow bulb. and its getting as much light maybe more than it did by the window I mean I know it isn't real sun light but it has worked for years. this is the first problem I have had with it.it is a large aloe there are two in the pot. and I do have it on a schedule I watter it once a month yeah about four weeks.. do you think it isn't getting enough water when I am watering it?
If it's been in that pot for a while, it could be that the roots are taking up a lot more space than they used to in the pot so now it needs to be watered more frequently than it used to. Also once potting mix dries out it can take some effort to rewet it, so if you're just watering a little bit it could mostly be running out the bottom of the pot rather than soaking all the way through the soil.
