Hi there-- found this guy on my sheets, under an opened bag of undershirts I had just purchased. Any idea what this guy is? I'm a little nervous, to be honest. Sorry the pictures arn't that great -- it is pretty small, as you can see in the shot with the tile edge. Sorry for the blurry pictures, I have some more but these seemed like the best.

Looked to me like he has 6 legs and two long antenna, with a bean like body, almost like a beetle.

Thanks--

I think you're on the right track with some kind of beetle/weevil - ticks have really flat bodies.

You posted your second pic while I was typing - I still don't think it's a tick, but I can't tell what it is.

It looked to me like he had antenna of some sort, and I can't seem to find any ticks with that sort of deal. Glad it's not a bedbug, I'm itching just thinking about it.

This most likely is a shiny spider beetle, Gibbium psylloides (Coleoptera: Ptinidae) - see [HYPERLINK@www.ento.psu.edu] for an image and [HYPERLINK@www.ento.psu.edu] for more information. Spider beetles often are found indoors, where they may be pantry pests in stored food products.
