I know this lady is real nice and has bought on DG before from a friend. She bought quite a few items Friday night and I haven't heard one single word from her since then. How long do I wait to be paid before I take them off the market or relaunch them? Thanks
gail
I have sent her two dmails but they go unanswered. I know she has bought on DG Marketplace because I went to her homepage and saw her good feedback from a purchase on DG.
Ask the seller in a dmail how fast a payment they got. I know some of mine aren't really the fastest of payers--I think some of them might not think about checking back until they get that dmail. And I can understand that sometimes on their part--it just slips their mind.
When they don't check back with me very quick--I usually go back up and edit the numbers unless I have quite a few listed. When they do pay you can always go back and cancel the item. I know this isn't helpful if you only have one of something. I try to make sure I hold a few back one or two on the numbers just for cases like this. And then if they clear me out of something I have if its several--I can ask them if they actually wanted more. It's eliminated a lot of stress on my end--and if anyone notices the frequent edits in numbers, that explains it.
I think its a bigger deal for quick payment on our end because its income for us.
=)
It isn't the income as much as the inconvience of keeping up with plants. Since I grow gesneriads I don't keep a back up of what I am selling. I grow from seed , rhizomes, tubers and cuttings. Once I put something up and it sells or doesn't sell, I am ready to cancel it and get on to other things.
I also sell multiples, so I do no have the problem.
But I would say a sale is complete, only when it got paid for. As long as it is not paid, I would relist. If it sells a second time and the other buyer pays earlier, just cancel the first order with the explanation, that you cannot hold back your items for several days and that it has sold in the meantime to somebody else.
When they buy in an internet store, they need to pay immediately, or the order doesn't get completed.
She was the nicest person and ended up ordering more as they weren't posted when she left the house for out of town...the minute she came back she paid instantly...nice lady...
