Mosaics and Stained Glass: polished beach stones

Author Content charlottes hamilton Canada October 16, 2008 11:48 AM Post #5678639 I have purchased a bunch of flat beach stones at a super discount price. They measure 1 to 1/2 inches and 1/4 thick. I was wondering if I can mosaic them on to a wooden mirror frame. I am concerned about the adhesion since both sides of the stones are polished. is there a special adehsive or method i can use? Definintely scuff the mirror frame with sandpaper. Personally, I would try a test board first with GE II Silicone or Liquid Nails (clear).
