    I really enjoyed your article. I have seen these trees, but didn't know about the lumber's properties or its cultivation.

    One of the things I loved most about Louisiana when I visited was the proliferation of live oaks. They are trees of singular form and beauty. I was amazed by the trees of Oak Alley Plantation. I went to a wedding there with Justmelisa and have vivid mental images of the children, dressed in their wedding clothes, playing among those huge exposed roots. Oh, to have such trees in your yard!
