My sister Sue is an artist and belongs to the Redondo Beach Art Group. They have a large Art Show every year and we attended it last night. The pictures she painted for the show this year were very different than she usally does and they came out wonderful.

While we were at the show, she sold the smaller of the two and buy the time we drove home, she called to tell us that she sold the big one too. She was so happy. :-)

I just thought you might want to see some pretty paintings. These are watercolors paintings and she has them floating in the center of the wavy glass. There is no matting involved.

Here is the larger one. This is a Girabaldi Fish.
The white area in the center of the picture is from the flash on the camera.

Brava! She is very talented. So happy your sister was able to sell her artwork. There is something about actually selling your work validates all the time and effort of the artist! What a great memory too! Please extend my congratulations to your sister. I can tell you are very proud of her. Thanks for sharing such nice original art. I also love the matting she used for the borders, the pattern re emphasizes the reflection of light on the waves under water. Well Done!

Sorry, but I've been missing since I posted this. Had to babysit over the weekend at my DD's house.

Thank you all for your kind words. I will let my sister know what you have said about her work.

SW, I know the photos don't do the real pictures justice. There is NO matting around the pictures. The pictures are floating in the wavy glass. If you look at the picture of my sister and dad, you can see the wavy glass in the water of the larger picture. I should have mentioned this in the first post. In fact, I think I will add it now.

Thank you all again,
Donna

She is so talented and it makes it so unusual to be encased in the wavy glass. Great!
