On craigslist.org in the free stuff in the San Diego area a large Peruvian apple cactus is being given away. It is under the listing for Saturday and the listing was still there as of this posting.
It is really boig (probably over 20 ft) but the owners are removing it so it might be possible to get cuttings even if you can't take the whole thing.
I am too far away to go get it.
