When I first looked at the picture I thought I saw several figures and thought it was my imagination and then duh - they ARE there! Wonderful imagery! I enjoyed the article as much of it was new to me. I wonder what our descendants will consider inaccurate ancient beliefs! I would like to be remembered as reverencing life and creation but Iím not as observant as many of my ancestors who noticed more than edibility in the garden! I find myself like those ancients fearing winter would not end and the earth would not green again. DH assures me every May that my garden WILL come back. Thanks for the article. - Carol
I am sorry that I was unable to respond earlier, but my computer was down for a week, and I couldn't even say thanks. I am glad you finally saw the figures in the painting, and thanks for commenting on the article.
Sometimes I too feel that winter will never end, but somehow my flowers manage to survive.
Best to you,
