Thanks for this information, Sally. I have several "susceptible" plants in our yard -- including a whole bank of wintercreeper that is really starting to take hold and coloring up nicely this fall. I'm going to be examining it much more closely. I had not heard of this particular pest before reading your article.

If we get another spell of warm weather next week, that would be a good time to just take a few minutes in the afternoon and see if you spot any of these moths. They'd fly slowly, hover almost, around the wintercreeper. You're west of me and the newest sighting this year was just south of me near Annapolis. I'll hope for you, that they prefer the warmer zone!
